How It Works

When you paste that command into your AI agent, here's exactly what happens — step by step.

1

You paste one line into your AI agent

Copy the command from the homepage and paste it into Claude Code, Codex, or any AI agent that can read URLs.

2

The agent connects your OpenRouter account

Your agent gives you a link to open in your browser. You click Authorize on OpenRouter — your API key is stored server-side.

3

The agent installs the /evvl skill

One small file is added to your project with your auth token embedded. No environment variables or shell config needed.

4

You run your first comparison

Type /evvl followed by what you want to compare. The agent handles the rest and returns a shareable URL.

What Evvl does NOT do

  • Does not read, modify, or access your code
  • Does not store any data beyond the session token and share results
  • Does not run in the background — only runs when you invoke /evvl
  • Does not charge you — OpenRouter bills your account directly for model usage
  • Share links expire after 7 days — nothing is permanent
